Sylvia Lim and Quah Kim Song Set to Marry in January 2025

The bells of St Mary of the Angels will chime joyfully as Sylvia Lim, chair of the Workers’ Party, is all set to marry her long-time partner Quah Kim Song in January 2025. After nearly 12 years together, the couple has decided to embark on this new chapter of their lives.

In a chat with CNA, Lim shared that the ceremony will take place in church, surrounded by their loved ones. Quah, also a Catholic, revealed that he and Lim have a special connection to St Mary of the Angels, as they both have ties to the parish. Interesting fact: Lim was even a cantor in the church choir back in 2014!

How They Met

Their story began at a Workers’ Party variety show in January 2013. It’s been smooth sailing ever since, with Quah often appearing in Lim’s social media posts, showcasing their loving bond. Quah, at 72, is a widower with a rich legacy in Singapore football, while Lim, 59, has never been married before.

Two Icons, One Love

Quah Kim Song is a household name in Singaporean sports. Renowned for his agility and scoring ability, he was a key player in Singapore’s 1977 Malaysia Cup triumph, scoring twice in the final. He hails from a large family, with six other siblings who also played for the national team, making them quite the sporting dynasty.

On their upcoming marriage, Quah stated, “It has been blissful, blessed and wonderful, (so) we decided to tie the knot and journey together all the way” — words that echo the sentiments of many who are rooting for their happiness.

As they prepare for this significant day, we wish them all the love and joy in their future together!
