A 33-year-old man, Mohd Taufik Hashim, faces serious charges after allegedly attacking police officers during an arrest related to drug possession in Clementi. The incident occurred on 16 December 2024, when Taufik was spotted by police during their anti-crime rounds.
Details of the Incident
According to police reports, officers began their checks at around 12.50pm near Clementi Avenue 3. Upon discovering suspected controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and items that did not belong to him, Taufik became aggressive.

- Punching a sergeant in the face and kicking him in the chest, resulting in visible injuries.
- Spitting at another officer twice.
- Kicking a special constable sergeant, causing further injuries.
Both injured officers received medical treatment and were granted three days of medical leave.
Charges Faced
Taufik has been charged with:
- Two counts of voluntarily causing hurt to a public servant while on duty.
- One count of using criminal force against a public servant.
- Failure to provide a urine specimen for drug testing.
