SG60 Vouchers Now Available for Claim by Singaporeans Aged 21 and Above

Starting July 2024, Singaporeans can claim their SG60 vouchers as part of a special initiative to celebrate the country’s 60th anniversary. The rollout aims to recognise the contributions of all citizens while providing tangible benefits as the nation marks a significant milestone.

Phased Rollout Details

The distribution of SG60 Vouchers is divided into two phases:

  • Phase One: Seniors aged 60 and above began claiming S$800 worth of vouchers from 1 July 2024.
  • Phase Two: Eligible adults aged 21 to 59 can start claiming S$600 from 22 July 2024, starting at 10am.

Mayor of the South West District, Low Yen Ling, stated that the staggered dates aim to prioritise older Singaporeans, ensuring they have the necessary support to claim their vouchers, either digitally or via printed means.

Vouchers Breakdown

Half of the SG60 Vouchers can be used at participating heartland merchants and hawkers, while the other half is allocated for spending at supermarkets. This initiative not only aims to benefit the citizens but also lends support to local businesses.

How to Claim the Vouchers

Eligible Singaporeans can visit go.gov.sg/sg60v to claim their vouchers. They will need to log in using their Singpass, after which they will receive an SMS with a link to access their vouchers. A specially designed postcard, featuring the artwork of local artists, will be mailed to recipients.

For seniors and individuals less familiar with digital processes, assistance is available at community centres and SG Digital Community Hubs. It’s crucial to remain vigilant against scams relating to these vouchers, as no banking information will be required for claims.

Why the SG60 Vouchers Matter

This initiative is more than just a financial aid program; it serves as an appreciation for Singaporeans’ contributions over the decades. With approximately three million Singaporeans set to benefit, it reinforces the government’s commitment to uplifting and supporting its citizens as the nation celebrates its heritage and progress.
