Enhanced Security Measures
In response to the rising tensions, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) announced on the same day that security checks at all Singaporean checkpoints have been intensified. Travellers can expect delays due to these enhanced measures, which include stricter checks on incoming flights, cargo, and vehicles.
International Impact
With the situation evolving, it’s not just the Middle East feeling the effects. Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong pointed out that unrest in this far-off region could have ramifications for trade and investment, casting a shadow on the global economic climate.
