Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing S$50,000 from Wedding Money Boxes

A man’s alleged brazen act of theft during a wedding reception has left many stunned. The 36-year-old will face charges in court for reportedly stealing two money boxes that contained about S$50,000.

According to the police, they were alerted to the theft at a hotel along Beach Road on 5 April 2024, at approximately 12:49 PM. The unknown suspect managed to swipe money boxes filled with red packets during the event. Quick police work led to the arrest of the suspect just two days later, on 7 April.
