Other Recent Incidents
This incident is particularly concerning as it coincided with another tragic death in the same week involving a Thai singer, Chayada Prao-hom, who passed away after receiving neck massages. Authorities are reviewing both cases to ensure that massage services meet safety standards and are properly licensed.
Safety Concerns in Massage Practices
Though the risks associated with massages are typically low, the United States National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health warns of rare but serious side effects, such as nerve injury or blood clots. It has emphasised the importance of seeking accredited services and being aware of one’s health before undergoing such treatments.
